Violin Lessons Skipton offers violin tuition in various styles taught by Kerry McMullen. Kerry began playing music at the age of 4 on a tiny Casio keyboard. This later progressed to playing the violin at 7 and on passing her audition to the Belfast School of Music at 11, she received Classical Training until the age of 18. She had the pleasure of being taught by Alexandra MacKenzie from the Ulster Orchestra who developed her interests in various styles of playing.
Since then she has enjoyed busking her way across Europe,
playing in Leeds Symphony Orchestra, performing with various bands, playing as
a session musician on Oilean Chleire and working as musical director for
Theatre of the Dales. She has 15 years' experience of teaching music to various
ages and abilities.
Proficient in various styles: Classical, Irish fiddle,
Klezmer and Gypsy; she is happy to teach pupils of various skills, interests
and abilities. So whether you are a parent of a young child looking to
introduce them to the violin, or an adult seeking to enrich your life with
music, she is sure she can help.
